Cuadro de texto: El pasado día 1 de Octubre entraron en operación los 3 elevadores nuevos de la Torre Sur al concluir los 5 meses de labores del personal de Elevadores Otis. Para ustedes que hayan estado en Acapulco en los últimos 3 meses, hemos sufrido las incomodidades y molestias de tener en operación solo los 2 elevadores de servicio en la Torres Sur. Afortunadamente, esos meses pasaron rápidamente y con la puesta en operación de los elevadores nuevos, nos hemos quitado del problema mas persistente y del cual recibíamos mas quejas que de cualquier orto servicio dentro del edificio. Aunque la mayoría de los cambios son internos, verán un cambio importante el los tableros, indicadores de piso, y señalamientos. Durante el transcurso del proceso de instalación, se decidió hacer el cambio total de las puertas y marcos en el Nivel Alberca ya que estos estaban sumamente oxidados y eran la causa de que muchas veces se quedaran atorados los elevadores en ese nivel. Ahora que ha concluido esta etapa del proyecto, ahora procederemos a cambiar muchas de las refacciones buenas que se quitaron de los elevadores que se cambiaron a los elevadores de servicio para dejarlos en una mejor situación que la actual. Con la entrega de los elevadores de la Torre Sur concluye este importante proyecto de modernización cuyos beneficios se sentirán por muchos años. Hasta la fecha, hay un numero de propietarios que no han efectuado sus pagos y que por lo mismo están perjudicando a los demás propietarios. Le rogamos tomen esto en cuenta y cumplan con esta obligación tan importante, para ya finiquitar nuestras deudas con Otis que a esta fecha ya son de US$50,000 de un total original de US$600,000   Cuadro de texto:   On October 1st, the new South Tower elevators entered into operation after five months of work by the Otis Elevators technicians. For those of you who were in Acapulco during that period, you are well aware of the problems and inconveniences we went through as a consequence of having only the 2 service elevators in operation. Fortunately, with the start of operations we have finally put behind us the most frequently reported problem which consistently affected our operations. Although most of the changes which were made are internal, you will immediately note the changes to the control panels, indicators and call buttons. During the installation process, we decided to change the doors and door frames on the pool level since all 3 doors were very severely rusted and would have continued to affect the correct operation of the equipment. Now that we have concluded this phase of the project, we will be using the most serviceable of the spare parts taken form the old elevators and use them to upgrade the level of performance on the two service elevators. With the placing into operation of the South Towers, we have successfully finished the most ambitious renovation project we have undertaken in many years and are well poised for efficient service for many years. There are still a number of Owners who have not complied with their obligations and are affecting the rest of those who have already paid. We ask that these owners take time to make their payments in order that we can go ahead with the final phase of the project. Our debt to Otis in now under US$50,000 from the original project cost of US$600,000.
